How We Work
Each participant is assigned a team of advocates who will work to ensure each client receives program-projected outcomes. Once our women are prepared with all of the necessary resources to succeed, we place them in meaningful and rewarding employment, while still providing lifestyle coaching. All program participants are given continual access to program resources as needed to continue their journey toward success. We work with both currently and formerly incarcerated women.
As part of our program curriculum, we provide interactive job training in the customer service, hospitality, and administrative support fields and industries.
Four months prior to release, we meet weekly with women in the prison system throughout the Greater Washington, DC area.
During weekly meetings, Perfect, Inc. works with each woman to develop a post incarceration plan to include emotional and mental readiness.
Phase 1 : Soft and Hard Skill Development
Program participants begin their journey here. They start by learning in-demand technology skills resulting in professional certification at completion.
In this phase, participants will learn essential skills in:
- Emotional Intelligence
- Time Management
- Creative Skills
- Critical Thinking
- Conflict Resolution
- Business Etiquette
We prepare our participants by teaching them how to adapting to different work environments. We strive to encourage our participants to own their future success stories.
*Application approval is required for this phase.
Phase 2 : Internship
Each participant is selected to intern at local nonprofit organizations, where they will receive a stipend and the opportunity to use their training for application.
Phase 3: Job Placement
Our organization differs from most, as we do not just teach skills needed to ace an interview or write a great resume, but we also place participants in a job! We work with various organizations that guarantee a position for our participants upon completion of previous phases.
Perfect, Inc. keeps in constant contact with our graduates to remind them they are not alone. We are with them until they are confident enough to help someone else.
